Full Description:

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Scientist to join our dynamic research team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in advancing our understanding of cancer immunology and antigen presentation. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in oncology and immunotherapy.

The Senior Scientist will work with the team to study various critical issues around the immune response to cancer antigens and related cell biology questions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and performing diverse experiments in the field of immunology, including studies in immune modulation, cancer immunotherapy, and epigenetic reprogramming.
    • Techniques used could include but would not be limited to target engagement assays, cell cycle analysis, in vitro expansion of CD8 T cells, cell killing assay, etc.
  • Working with our industry and academic collaborators to identify potential therapeutic targets through proteogenomic analysis.
  • Leading research utilizing syngeneic cancer models for target analysis and validation of therapeutic strategies.
  • Working with the team to establish experimental protocols as well as standard operating procedures (SOPs), to ensure high-quality, timely results.
  • Writing internal progress reports (methodology, presentation of results, graphs and tables related to research projects) as well as preparing and presenting research findings in team meetings or to senior management, ensuring clarity and accuracy in data interpretation.
  • Providing scientific leadership and mentorship to junior scientists, fostering a collaborative and innovative research environment.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Biology, Immunology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an academic or industry research setting, with a proven track record of leading projects and mentoring junior scientists.
  • Deep understanding of immunology, genomic and proteomic techniques, including cell-based assays, analysis of immune-related markers (such as MHC-I) and cell cycle progression, gene expression profiling and proteomic analyses.
  • Understanding of the role of epigenetic reprogramming and splicing in cancer and immune modulation.
  • Strong experience in data analysis and interpretation, with capacity to use bioinformatics platforms for the integration of large-scale datasets.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating across disciplines and presenting findings to both scientific and non-scientific audiences.
