Lisa Butterfield is an immuno-oncology expert with extensive experience in antigen discovery, cancer vaccines, immune profiling, biomarker development and cellular therapies for solid tumor types.

She has held senior roles across academia and industry, including Vice President of Research and Development at the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy and tenured Professor at the University of Pittsburgh. Most recently, she worked in Discovery Oncology at Merck in South San Francisco and was an Adjunct Professor at the University of California, San Francisco.

She has authored more than 200 peer-reviewed publications and has played a prominent leadership role in the cancer immunotherapy field, including serving as President of the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC). She was recently elected a Distinguished Fellow of the American Association of Immunologists (DFAAI).
